The mold process is simple and is completed in about an hour, using materials specially formulated for use on the skin. The bronze and sterling castings are produced using the traditional lost wax foundry process. Vanessa personally oversees each step of the casting process, from making the wax positive from the master mold to the final patina or color. Each casting is hand-engraved with the subject’s name and date. The castings can be produced as unique objects or in an editioned series.
